From the moment a child is born, children start exploring the world, while they are doing that they are developing the Domains of their physical, social and mental abilities.
As the children perform any activity, they are promoting stimulation to their 3 domains:
PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT
It includes the small-motor skills and large-motor skills.
· By one year most children can:
Walk alone
Walk backwards
· By three years most children can:
Walk on a line
Ride a tricycle
SOCIOEMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT
This domain is may be the hardest one to pinpoint. Reflects the ability to pay attention, make transitions and cooperate with others.
· By two years children are likely to:
Indicate toileting needs
Display aggressive feelings and behaviors
· By four years they:
Share toys, taking turns with assistance
Initiate or join in play with other children
COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT
It includes thought process, language, intellectual skills, and creativity.
· From 3 to 6 months old babies are able to:
Recognize faces
Respond to familiar sounds
· From 2 to 3 years most children can:
Respond to simple directions
Stack rings on peg in order of size
